Fashion Biography

As the former Fashion Director of the annual iconic fashion show fundraiser Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama, Laura Schara worked closely with featured designers and partners, including Tommy
Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and more. She also managed the cast of models and oversaw the designer’s vision as it was replicated down the runway during the event’s major four-city fall tour.

Laura also served as Macy’s Trend Correspondent, translating emerging fashion trends on local and national television broadcasts for the department store. She has recently ventured out on her own as TV Host & fashion expert for numerous clients.

Laura has been featured in Life & Style Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Associated Press, People Magazine, AOL.Com, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Minneapolis Star Tribune and Saint Paul Pioneer Press, and has appeared numerous times on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox affiliates throughout national markets. She has also been featured on TLC’s Extreme Proposals, Style network’s Dress My Nest, SHOP NBC, and NBC’s The Voice. She has recently appeared on the Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family show, showcasing style tips and fashion trends for spring break vacations.

Laura has worked with celebrity stylists such as Clinton Kelly, Rachel Zoe, Robert Verdi, Lloyd Boston and Stacy London. She recently completed Macy’s Makeover America tour with Clinton Kelly, which included a 30-city tour giving makeovers to over 300 women across the country.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Outdoor Biography

Laura Schara’s versatile experience as a television host brings a special energy to the outdoors and sports world. Her outdoor TV career began in 2000 when creating and hosting the segment “Wild in the City” on NBC’s Minnesota Bound, where she explored unique things to do in the outdoors right in the metro area of Minneapolis/St.Paul.

She has since hosted numerous television projects including nationally televised Destination Polaris on Fox Sports Network, Golden Moose Awards for the Outdoor Channel, MN Bound on NBC, FLW Outdoors and ATV Sport TV on NBC Sports. She also works with the NHL for MN WILD TV and Easton Hockey.

Laura currently appears weekly on Fox Sports Network’s Due North Outdoors and Destination Polaris, North American Fisherman on NBC Sports, as well as LTV for Lifetime Fitness.

Laura’s passion for the outdoors was passed onto her from her outdoor enthusiast father, Ron Schara, who taught her all the lessons that needed to be learned to be a successful angler. Her best catch to date is a 6ft, 77lb. halibut caught off the coast of Alaska. She is also an avid sporting clays shooter.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
